What we do on ropes

If it is high, awkward or expensive to reach conventionally, rope access is usually the faster and cheaper answer — and it keeps your building operating while we work.

Difficult-access maintenance

Remedial and routine work on elevations that scaffolding cannot reach economically.

Building inspections

Close visual inspection of facades, roofs and structures, with the detail you cannot get from the ground.

Repairs at height

Sealing, patching, fixing and replacement work on facades, roofs and structures.

Anchor testing & installation

Testing, certification and installation of roof anchor points and fall-arrest systems.

Height safety systems

Assessment and maintenance of the systems your own contractors rely on to work safely.

Exterior cleaning & washing

High-rise window cleaning and building washing — see our dedicated cleaning page.

Why building managers use rope access

  • It is dramatically cheaper. On most jobs, scaffolding or an EWP costs more than the work itself. Ropes remove that cost.
  • Your building keeps operating. No scaffold around the entrance, no blocked footpaths, no tenants complaining for a fortnight.
  • Mobilise fast. No lead time waiting for scaffold erection, and no dismantle afterwards.
  • No security exposure. A scaffold is a ladder to your upper floors for as long as it stands. Ropes go up and come down the same day.
  • Small jobs stay viable. A two-hour repair does not have to carry a five-figure access cost, so problems get fixed instead of deferred.

Common questions

Is rope access actually safe?

Yes. It is a highly-regulated discipline built on redundancy — every technician is on two independent systems at all times. We are fully insured and certified, and safety planning is part of every job rather than an afterthought.

Is it cheaper than scaffolding?

On the large majority of jobs, substantially. Scaffolding carries erection, hire and dismantle costs that often exceed the repair itself. That gap is the main reason building managers move to rope access.

Can you work on an occupied building?

Yes, and it is one of the main advantages. There is no structure blocking entrances or walkways, so tenants and customers carry on as normal.

Do you test and install roof anchors?

Yes. We test and certify existing anchor points and install new systems where a building does not have adequate provision.

What kind of buildings do you work on?

Commercial and multi-unit residential across the Wellington region — offices, apartment blocks and body corporate properties.
