Start with the right scope
A practical approach to the work
A useful window enquiry separates damaged glass from frame problems and water-entry symptoms. Tell us what has changed, where the window sits and whether it can be reached from inside. That helps define the work before a replacement or repair is proposed.
01
Damaged glass
Identify the affected pane and its position within the window. Include a view of the whole unit, taken from a safe position. Glass type, dimensions and the means of handling a replacement need to be confirmed during scoping rather than guessed from a photograph.
02
Window components
A difficult-to-operate window or damaged component may need attention to the unit rather than replacement glass. Describe how the window opens, the fault and any previous work. Include nearby access obstacles and whether the room is occupied.
03
Leaks around a window
Water visible at a window can relate to glass seals, joinery or surrounding facade junctions. Where the source is uncertain, investigation should come before deciding which component to replace. Our leak investigation page explains that separate service.

Questions before you book
Is high-access glazing the same as window cleaning?
No. Glazing concerns the glass and window components. Cleaning removes exterior soiling. Use our existing high-rise window cleaning service if there is no repair requirement.
Can the work be completed entirely from outside?
That depends on the window system, handling requirements and access. Internal access may be part of the plan. Tell us early about occupied rooms or restrictions on entering a unit.
Do you offer double-glazing upgrades?
This page covers the repair and replacement service currently advertised by Altitude. If you want a change to the glazing specification, describe it in your enquiry so feasibility and scope can be confirmed.
