A practical approach to the work

A painting proposal needs more than a colour and an area. Existing coatings, repairs, access and nearby windows all affect the work. Altitude combines painting tradespeople with rope access capability to discuss the preparation and finish your building needs.

01

High exterior walls

Identify each elevation and whether the work is a full repaint or selected areas. A close look at the existing finish helps establish the preparation required. Include balconies, adjoining roofs and other features that could affect access.

02

Fascias and soffits

These can be awkward to reach on a hillside or multi-storey property. Tell us whether the concern is flaking paint, exposed edges or damaged material. If a substrate needs repair, that should be addressed in the scope before a new finish is applied.

03

Commercial facades

Coordinate colours, tenant requirements and access arrangements before work starts. Where cleaning, sealant work or concrete repairs are also planned, discuss the sequence so freshly finished surfaces are not disturbed by later work.

Prepare your painting brief

  • List the walls, trims, soffits and other surfaces to include.
  • Provide current photographs and any previous coating information.
  • Identify flaking areas, staining or known water-entry problems.
  • Note colour approvals or body corporate decisions still needed.
  • Tell us which doors, paths and tenancies must remain accessible.

Questions before you book

Can rope access replace scaffolding for a repaint?

It can suit some elevations and scopes. The surface preparation, duration, materials and access conditions determine the appropriate method. We do not assume ropes are the right answer before assessing the work.

Should leaks be repaired before painting?

Tell us about active or recurring leaks when you enquire. Painting over a symptom does not establish its cause. Investigation and necessary repairs should inform the painting plan.

Can you paint selected high areas?

Describe the areas you want included and any adjacent surfaces that need to match. We can discuss a defined scope, including how the edges of a partial repaint will be treated.
